Who We Are
Established in the spring of 1979, St. Croix AARP Chapter #3167 is a volunteer service organization committed to improving the quality of Life for our island's golden agers and for their caregivers. Our Chapter is a resource for fun-loving, forward-thinking, solution-oriented leaders and givers of all ages to fellowship and find ways to fulfill the vision of AARP's Founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus to be "service centers... [for those] who favor the goals of individual growth and service to self, to fellow members, and to the community in general." In-line with the original intent of Dr. Andrus, we see our Chapter as a vehicle to "implement a variety of programs and projects, mobilize volunteers, and support the activities of other organizations with compatible philosophies and goals." (Chapter Handbook, Section 1)
While AARP National and VI offices promote legislative advocacy, consumer savings, fitness and wellness programs, financial tools and insurance products, St. Croix AARP Chapter #3167 focuses on providing prayer, calls, visits, gardening, and light labor to those in need due to mobility or other challenges as well as Fun, Facts, Fellowship and Fortitude on 2nd Saturdays in September through June. Monthly meetings are held to empower members and guests to be well-positioned in their spheres of influence to act as Good Samaritans. Through moments of solidarity, mentoring, breathing and stretching, sharing good reports, and completing group service projects, meeting attendees comment that they feel refreshed and recharged after the time well-spent together.

Days of Service
& Remembrance
AARP National's Day of Service coincides with the nation's Day of Remembrance. In the fall of 2024, St. Croix AARP Chapter introduced three unique projects to commemorate the heroes of 9/11 alongside unsung "everyday heroes" who contribute so much to our island's quality of Life. And in the fall of 2025, the Chapter launched an initiative to create an island-wide resource directory.
Check the site monthly for fresh updates on our Clubs' upcoming events.

Garden Club
hosts St. Croix AARP's Food and Flower Plant and Seed Swaps
each season at our meetings. Start getting your slips read!. All are encouraged to bring their favorite things to grow: bush tea herbs, veggies, small fruit trees, etc. We will be keeping a Garden Registry to share what's growing! These events are FREE and open to all. Gratitude and gifts to benefit Garden Club will be gladly accepted and greatly appreciated.

Prayer Club
gathers for "Scrumptious Scripture Beach Brunches" at Lion's Club gazebos at Lagoon to celebrate our Creator and His Goodness each season. We invite you to bring a scripture to share Wisdom, build Faith, and stir up Praise in the Joy and Presence of the Spirit of Oneness in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Yeshua Messiah. Please bring a chair and best dish/drink to share. These events are FREE and open to all.

Volunteer Club
is launching an initiative designed to fulfill Service Requests from seniors and those with special needs. Upon review, according to the time, skills, and expertise of Volunteer Club members, we will do our best to make help available in a variety of categories such as calls, visits, prayers, mending, and greeting cards. Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. ...
